A Few Favorite Poems

I often tell my education audiences that students need to develop their own individual creativity and it doesn’t matter which creative discipline they choose. Mine was poetry. I went to Oberlin College and was fortunate to have Stuart Friebert and David Young as my poetic mentors. They modeled the discipline of creativity in their poetry and teaching. It has been a lifelong gift to me.
